Guildford, 18th April 2004 This was payback time by the British weather. After a glorious 2003, the first game of the 2004 season was a complete washout, as heavy overnight rain, had left the pitch in a treacherous condition, and persistent rain throughout the day prevented any improvement in the conditions.
The two teams were able to squeeze about 3 innings of a practice game in, between showers, but it already been agreed that the game would be re-scheduled for later in the season. So Guildford travel to Bournemouth, still unbeaten, and only another 12 washouts away from an unbeaten season!
