Owen Hazelby won the AA MVP award as well as the AA Offensive player of the year
The Mavericks awards evening was held on 15th Oct at the Boatman in Guildford. With a turnout of almost 40 it was the most well attended end of season event we've had. Awards were given for the AA team and the A team, along with special recognition of the support given to the Mavericks by our coach Tony Oliva and to Geraldine for all her efforts scoring
Ben Stobart won the Mavericks A MVP award for 2011
Dave Austin won the Mavericks A Offensive player of the year award
Gregg Yates won the Mavericks A Defensive Player of the year award
Head Coach Tony Oliva was presented with a gift as thanks from the whole club in recognition of all the work he put in coaching us in 2011
In what was his final year with the Mavericks before taking up a job overseas, Kevin Zanes won the Mavericks Pitcher of the Year award. He will be sorely missed by the club in 2012, and our best wishes go with him in his new adventure
Thom Doggett won the Mavericks Most Improved Player of the Year award
John Kristensen won the Mavericks AA Defensive Player of the year award
Will Frawley won the Mavericks Rookie of the Year award
